We are seeking a part-time paid internship for an aspiring conductor, composer, or arts administrator interested in learning about arts organizations and marketing. This is a great way to learn about entrepreneurship and gain practical experience with implementing marketing strategies for artists and ensemble. The internship will consist of three weekly work/learning sessions every week through May 2014, with an option to extend through the summer. During meetings, we will discuss and work with different strategies to promote artists and build relationships with ensembles.
Meetings will be approximately 3 hours each, with occasional extra meetings for special events and conferences.
Responsibilities will include:
• research on current news in the choral music world
• creating connections with ensemble directors
• social media marketing
• other tasks related to the promotion of new music and composers
Compensation: Interns will be compensated $400 a month.
