Confession: This is going to be my first ACDA National Conference. I’m feeling pretty excited about it and look forward to spending a week geeking out on my favorite subject with a bunch of people who love ensemble singing as much as I do. We’ve spent the last few months putting together a great exhibition space, preparing new scores, and selecting pieces for the reading session. I’m happy to say a good number of the composers we represent will also be in attendance; come and say hi to them as well.
We’ll be featuring pieces especially suited to university and collegiate ensembles, community choirs, and professional groups including pieces for men’s, women’s, and mixed choir. And, of course, we’ll have plenty of recordings you can check out and perusal scores to take home.
I look forward to seeing you then!

We’ll be situated at Booth 306, right near the big R&S and Regional Repertoire display. If you’re looking for new music, come and share a little about your choir and we will make specific recommendations to suite your needs and taste. We’ll also be raffling off 2 iPod Shuffles during the conference, so don’t miss out!
Join us for a reading session of top notch selections from our catalog. We’ve curated a select number of our favorite pieces, and we think you’re going to love them. About a half-dozen of our composers will be there as well ready to share a little about their music. We’ve prepared a packet of excerpts to sing through For those who like to live paperless, use the link below to download a .pdf of our ACDA Reading Packet. We will have paper copies available at the conference and full perusal scores of any piece in the packet will be available at our booth.
I have the honor of presenting with a number of distinguished composer/conductors on this growing role in the choral world. Among the presenters will be Eric Banks, David Conte, Karen Thomas, and Steven Sametz and we will discuss the paths conductors have taken in writing for their own groups, some of the obstacles, and the benefits.
